CUSTOMER WARNINGS (09 November 2006)
You can now flag a customer level activity note (or more than one) as a ‘warning’ message so that when you select customer account enquiry the text of the activity note appears in a separate box over the main enquiry screen.
Set the activity note up as normal and tick the box ‘Make this a warning’.
STOCK TAKE - STOCK VARIANT CALCULATOR (09 November 2006)
On the stock take screen the system will display a ‘Stock Variant Calculator’ button if there are any variants for the selected product. You can then input the variant quantities and the system will convert to the base number. For example if you stock wine in bottles with a case variant (12 bottles) and the stock take shows 5 cases – you can now input 5 which will be converted to 60 bottles.
LINE DISCOUNTS (09 November 2006)
There is now the option to have a line discount as an amount rather than a percentage. Within Setup – Customer – Options you can set the normal method, either amount or percentage (default is percentage). The line discount pull-down on the item screen within the selling transactions now has three entries – Less discount%, Less unit discount, and Plus surcharge%.
SELLING PRICE LISTS (09 November 2006)
If you have a price list, which is based on another one, there is now the option to use either the gross or net price. For example – selling list ‘Retail’ is ‘Supplier Cost’ plus 75%. You can now use either gross or net cost. Prior to this change the system would use the net cost.
The price rounding now allows for an adjustment so that you can make the calculated price always have a fixed pence value. For example – if you want all the prices to end in 99p you can set the rounding to the higher pound with an adjustment of minus 1p.
F9 EXPORT TO EXCEL (09 November 2006)
Pressing F9 when looking at an ENCORE data grid will send the whole grid to Excel. Two new features are SHFT + F9 which sends the current record onwards and CTRL + F9 which sends up to the current record.
INTRASTAT ADJUSTMENTS (09 November 2006)
This new transaction allows you to ‘manually’ create an Intrastat record. It will also list products that have been purchased from the EU, or sold to the EU, that do not have a commodity code. It will also show invoices – both purchase and sales – that do not have linked Intrastat records (because the products did not have commodity codes) and probably should have.
